Garden Review: Blair Castle Gardens

Hey everyone? Have you missed me? I've been on holiday, up in the heilans, with M&D recently which was awesome! We had all sorts of fun from wildlife parks and steam trains to the beach and wildcat hunting! But as usual we managed to sneak in a wee garden visit. This time it was to Blair Castle and their lovely gardens en route to our holiday cottage. Here is my review in some lovely pictures...

Ready, steady, let's go explore...

The grounds are beautiful and what better backdrop than a princess castle!

Beautiful trees surround the fairy tale castle

A funky bridge over the river

Lovely cow parsley floating with the frothy alchemilla mollis

A gate allows a view over the fields to the magnificent tree lined driveway

Oh I do like to have the odd wee hug of a tree!

The pathway leading to the sculpture and walled gardens

What a lovely gate

The orchard inside the walled garden

Lots of sculptures adorn the walls

A lily packed pond and a funky bird house

A big bird (and an eagle sculpture!) ;)

Ickle duckings at the water's edge

Just checking out the plantmanship...

Hanging out with the duckies

The pretty bridge reflecting in the pond

Posing on the bridge!

Cherubs line the pond

Me, Daddy and some bloke called Hercules

After all that garden exploring it's time for a swing with Daddy
So there you have it, Blair Castle gardens in pictures. The general grounds are very pretty and well kept and the sculpture/walled garden is nice. It's not the most exciting of gardens I have ever been to but if you are in the area it's worth popping in for a visit.

Hugs & kisses,

Lulu xx
